Please help. I'm getting the error light appearing on the printer. I think I've loaded the correct drivers. Does anyone know what's wrong?

unfortunately no because I need more info.Do you get a error message or what port is the printer on.When you say you think you loaded the correct drivers, where did get them from? How did you load them? You get back to with info and I'll see what I can do to help.
that is a pretty old printer. Why bother. Do you have the "bundled software" for the printer? If not all the drivers in the world will not help you.As R.J. says not enough info.

Hey come on guys. Quit cutting my workhorses to bits. I run a bjc-610 and a bjc-620 on my printer. They run just fine and they will print circles around my lexmark Z12. So they don't talk. Big deal. Every time I heard: "cannot communicate with printer" I wanted to reach in and strangle that stupid little guy anyway. Anyway as far as Garys errors go, try this: Mine did that at first when I got it. They were both given to me only about 6 months ago. So the error light kept coming on when I turned it on. Yes they take forever to get ready to print. But anyway, 2 things to try: when the error light comes on, just hit the "online" button. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Second thing to try is lift up the lid and follow the clean print heads instructions. Don't know where you got your drivers but if you don't have the original ones try here: Canon BJC 610 driver

I have two bjc 620's and one bjc 610. At the present time none of them work properly. I hate to give up on them because they do a decent job and the ink is so cheap. My questions: On the one that is working best the yellow has gotten lighter and lighter until it finally disappeared. I have tried cleaning it but have been unsuccessful. Might the electronics finally died? On another I bought for parts, it came in with a dried up head, since I had nothing to lose, I tried cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol, and got two of the colors to work, not the black unfortunately. Can these heads be manually cleaned? On the third printer, the thing was working satisfactorily, but after not being used for a couple weeks, I turned it on and all the lights flash. I moved the printer head to another computer and the same thing happened, so it must be something wrong with this print head (cleaning on the printer didn't help) The yellow on this print head had started getting weak too. Oh well, any suggestions other than scrapping them will be appreciated (I have already considered that)...LOL Please email me. Thanks, Bill
