My pc cannot open http://www.yahoo.com/ fully. It stops after opening about 80% of the page. Neither can I link to some of the Yahoo website such as Yahoo e-mail. As such, I cannot access to and open my Yahoo mail box. I have no problem opening with other URL. Could anyone help. Thanks.

Thank you Phil. I have tried your link but I still cannot open the page fully. The link you provided is the same address as I stated, ie. http://www.yahoo.com/ .I have run Internet Explorer Repair Tool but the problem remains. Any idea what's the possible cause?

Henry

Hi henryhauw,
I'm sorry my link didn't do the trick. I knew it was the same one you had, but sometimes your current link could be corrupted and a fresh one could work ... as I always say ... nothing ventured ... nothing gained.
I am at a loss as to what could be causing your problem. Hopefully, someone with a little more 'expertise' will come along and be able to help you out.
Meanwhile, you might want to contact Yahoo at this link: Yahoo Feedback and see what they say.
Good luck!

Phil

Hi Phil,
"Yahoo Help" has replied. I followed its instruction and the problem have been fixed. Below is the extract of the relevant section of the procedure for your information (Note mine Explorer is IE 6):
[ It is necessary at times to clear your browser's cache. The "cache" is the memory your browser uses to store content of the web pages that you visit. Storing that content lets your browser load those same pages more quickly the next time you visit them. Error messages such as "Document Contains No Data" can be caused by the length of time it takes for your machine to reach our server, or your browser may be caching an older version of that page....
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0:
1) Click on "Tools" in the menu bar at the top of your browser.
2) Select "Internet Options".
3) Under the "Temporary Internet Files" box, click on the "Delete Files" button.
4) Click OK.
5) Click on the "Settings.." button.
6) Under the section "Check for newer versions of stored pages," select
"Every visit to the page." (Note that mine was set as "Automatically" before I make the change)7) Click OK.
8) Click OK.
9) Refresh / Reload your browser. If the graphics on your My Yahoo! page are not appearing properly, There are several things to check:
- Click Reload (or Refresh) on your browser's toolbar
- Delete your cache
- In your browser settings, make sure that the auto load images feature is turned on. ]
By the way, any idea where can I select "auto load images feature", although I have the problem fixed but before this, some of the images did not appear properly.
Best regards
Henry

Hi henryhauw,
Great! Glad to hear you have it sorted out. I can't believe Yahoo Feedback got back to you that soon ... lol
You also asked if I knew how you could find the "auto load images feature". Although I am running IE 5.01, SP#2 and you are working with IE6.0 the mechanics should be similar.
If I wanted to make sure all my pictures would be displayed on web sites I visited I would go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced> scroll down to 'Multimedia' and make sure "Show Pictures" is checked. My guess is that is the same area you will find your "auto load images" feature too.
Check it out. HTH

Phil

Dear Phil,
OK. I have found "Show pictures". It had been checked any way. Thank you.
