Cannot get to Bios setting

HI,

My Tohisba Laptop with Win98 is not working properly that I want to clean install it with again with Win98SE.

I want to format the HD before i do the clean install. However,I cannot get to my Bios setting. I tried to press Del on startup up but this does not work for me. The delete key is working.
I need ur help.

Are you certain that's the correct key? It varies - see if this helps

Most people run format from the startup disk or another source of dos, such as the hard drive. How do you intend to run format from bios?

Yeah - unless you need to change the boot sequence, accessing the CMOS isn't really a necessity.

Some systems did have hard drive utilities that could be run from CMOS Setup
