My system is running Windows 95, at startup I get the message "unable to locate file win.com" and windows will not startup. If I press f8 then 5 to confirm step by step I can bypass a command that appears to go to a windows 98 program?! But then windows 95 will startup. I have loaded a new win.com from the windows 95 disk, but it did not help. Any suggestions? Please don't be too technical.

the startup command goes like this: Process your startup command file (autoexec.bat)?--I choose yes Path C:\Progra~1\win98RK;C:\Progra~1\win98RK;C:\Progra~1\win98RK;C:\windows;C:\windows\command? I choose no. I select yes for all the other prompts and window95 will load up. What do you think? Hmmmm.....
