All of a sudden, when I reboot my HP OmniBook 3000 running Windows '98 Second Edition, I received an error message which says it cannot find himem.sys and to check my c:\windows directory. Of course it is there and I copied over a clean copy of that file in case it was corrupt. It boots up fine, it is only when I reboot that I recieve this error. Any suggestion?

We had the same problem here ! We solved this with device=c:\windows\himem.sys /machine:2
Maybe this additional info can help you : DEVICE=[drive:][path]HIMEM.SYS [/A20CONTROL:ON|OFF] [/CPUCLOCK:ON|OFF] [/EISA] [/HMAMIN=m] [/INT15=xxxx] [/MACHINE:xxxx] [/NOABOVE16] [/NOEISA] [/NUMHANDLES=n] [/SHADOWRAM:ON|OFF] [/TESTMEM:ON|OFF] [/VERBOSE] [/X]
If the machine entry will not work try the [/A20CONTROL:ON|OFF] option !
