could someone please tell me where i can download JUST command.com becuase i am trying to udate my windows 95 laptop to windows 98 SE. The trouble is my laptop only has a floppy drive and NOTHING ELSE.eg no CD ROM DRIVE. so i am trying to copy the contents from the CD from the PC to the laptop using floppys but i cant get to C:\> . I have formated the drive. i have tried booting with all the boot disks from bootdisk.com and they all say the same thing which says some like it canot find command.com and please type in the interpreter. But i have tried everything and now your my last hope! please please help!what should i do could some please tell me where i can download command.com or something which will get me to C:\>Cheers

try to format your hard drive and installing dos into it through dos boot disk, by typing
Format c:/s

What you were probably doing is when you said "i have tried booting with all the boot disks from bootdisk.com ..." is saving the downloaded package to the floppy and then boot with it. That's not how it's to done, sorry.
You'll first have to extract the downloaded package to the floppy and then boot with it.
The downloaded package is a compressed file, containing the files you need to be able to boot, including Command.com
To extract the downloaded package, when it's a EXEcutable simply double-click on it when you've placed a blank formatted floppy disk in drive A:. If it's a ZIPped file, you'll need something like WinZip to extract the contents to A:And to save you time and headaches on copying the contents of the Win 98 CD-ROM to the hard disk of the laptop look at the replies in your earlier thread.
