cannot access shared folder

I shared a folder on a Windows 2000 server and am able to access it from all Windows XP workstations through network places. There is a Windows 98 laptop that cannot see the shared folder. It sees other shared folders on the server but not this new share. I tried mapping a drive and receive a message that it cannot connect and "more data is availabe". I am not sure what else to try.

What are the share permissions? Are you authenticating on the 98 machine with an account that exists locally on the server machine? Are the machines on a Domain?

The share permissions are set to allow everyone full access. The Windows 98 login account is an account on the server, and it is not on a domain.
