Can you make a .MOV file into an .AVI??

Does anyone know how to convert a .MOV file into an .AVI file?? I can make .MOV's with something, but then I can't turn it into an .AVI file (and I need to in order to export it to video). Please e-mail me the replies because I don't know if I'll remember to check back here. Thanks!

dude im wondering the same thing when you find out let me know cuz i need to make some movs that i have into avis and make them into realplayer media.....well good luck

I have Adobe Premiere and you can make avi files from *.mov there, BUT the thing is that about 9 min of *.mov filr will take you about a DAT to export it to AVI!!!!!!
