Win98 can handle up to a 137Gb hard drive once you get past the 64Gb barrier but...see http://www.hexff.com/w98_hd.php for some excellent reading on that particular subject. Pay particular attention to the first paragraph.

Bryan

In order to support 120 GB harddrive and WINDOWS 98, you must use FDISK and FORMAT from a WINDOWS ME boot disk; NOT WINDOWS 98 or even 98SE's boot disk. Download the Windows Me OEM boot disk from ..

http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm

execute it to a floppy and boot from it as usual. After FDISK and FORMAT you can load either 98 or XP.

Note that on the same URL (web page) you also have the Windows XP Setup Disk Sets.

Good luck,
Sandor

Hi Bernard, Bryan, hello everyone

Another method is to partition and format the hard drive using a WinME Bootdisk.

Make sure that you create two partitions. You need to have a separate partition for each OS. Also, install Win98 first.
