Describe the system/model you have.

I doubt any windows 98 computer has a restore partition, as do newer computers, that allow you to boot to it and restore the OS. If you know differently about your particular model then the way to do it would be in the manual for that model. In lieu of that, to revert to 'factory settings', you need that model's restore disks or a regular 98 installation cd.

To get wifi on 98 the computer will need a wifi card (as far as I know no 98 computer came with built-in wifi) with 98 drivers so the card is properly setup in device manager.

The games may not be loading because the cd drive is bad or the games are not compatible with 98.

You've got an old computer. Don't expect it to do what a new one will.

I doubt you will get a wireless USB adapter to work with Win98 so you will need to get an older wireless PCI adapter that supports Win98 & includes compatible drivers.

Please provide more info about your computer.

Belkin used to produce a USB wireless adapter for Win 98 which worked well. It came with a setup CD. The problem is trying to find anyone who still has one.

EDIT: Found this Netgear one using Google:
If you want to search some more try "USB Wireless Adapter for Windows 98" in Google.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

If you go with a USB wireless connection you might check with your cell service provider. Several years ago a friend was provided one by Cricket. Seemed to work OK. I think she had an XP pc so I don't know about 98 support.
