Can not write to A:\

On a GATEWAY Laptop I can not write to the A:\ drive. Error Mesaage: Stream write error! What does this mean? Thanks.

This could be caused by not having WRITE access to the directory
check about in the floppy properties m8

Hi Langener, I have come up with 5 possible causes. 1.) The floppy is write protected. 2.) The floppy is bad. 3.) The floppy drive is bad. 4.) Some BIOS have a feature to disable writing to the floppy drive. Check that. 5.) The floppy drive is posessed by the spirit of the deceased 5.5 in. floppy drive. You'll need an exorcist for that one. Or maybe a good computer tech. But seriously, go into your device manager and remove the drive, then reinstall it. See if that helps. Post back with results. Good Luck, ~winipcfg
