magic jack never has and never will work under 98 as it requires XP SP2 or greater to use.

Well, Windows 98 does support USB, even the later versios of Windows 95 did, so I personally am curious to know:

Will it work with Windows 98 if it has KernelEx? Do a Google search for KernelEx. This programs lets many newer programs run on Windows 98, including Firefox 3.0, which is not officially supported by Mozilla.

sorry sdfox 7, NOT even KernelEx can make Magic Jack work under Win98/ME. Tried it and didnt work. KernelEx can't make all XP-based apps run under 98/ME, only some. heck, Google Chrome browser doesn't even work under win98, with or without kernelex.

update: just to clarify things, I'm talking about Magic Jack as a "whole" application software package, not just its usb drivers alone. heck, its usb drivers don't even load on win98/me oses.

if you really want to use magic jack hardware and software altogether, use XP, Vista or Win7, period. no ands, ifs or buts about it.
