Can i use different Memory

Hi im upgrading my memory and i have some qestions about useing different brands of memory. right now I have one stick of kingston 256mb 266MHz PC2100 DIMM CL2.5 and i was wondering if i could add one stick of Micron 128mb 266MHz PC2100 and if i did that would there be any problem with useing two different brands of memory? Plz i need help on this. THX

Well usually you should always buy the same kind of sticks of memory. But having 2 different brands won't do anything wrong to your machine, but you do have to check your memory chips for the Read/Write of the chips and ns=nano seconds of your memory chip.
Ex: 7-2-2-2W, 6-2-2-2R at 60ns., buy a stick that is
7-2-2-2W, 6-2-2-2R at 60ns.
For peak efficientcy you should buy a memory chip with the same Read/Write and ns.
Summary: As far as I know , different memory cards can be used if they are combatible with each other . Some of them are some others aren't . It depends on the brand . I personally have a 32 MB card and a 120 ...
