I did it once with win95. I'm not sure how anymore, but that's because the sheer time windows took to load and run was massive that it was no longer an option.
Anytime I did anything in windows it went through the floppy.
both win.com and explorer.exe are small and can fit into a floppy. which one i copied to disk to load windows is beyond me anymore. After windows loaded anytime windows called a dll or anything else it just went to the floppy to access C: drive. And we all know how slow floppies are.

Hi, copy the file C:\MSDOS.SYS to the boot floppy and the system should boot then continue loading Windows.
It will access A: Drive continously. Some times the command set comspecs=c:\command.com will stop the floppy hunt and use the Command on C: HTH
