Hi, Uninstall everything except scanner software, quicken, Media display, MS works, and your keyboard software. The keyboard software is for the hotkeys on your keyboard. Works is a word processor. Media display is probally your video drivers. Quicken is a money proggy. You especially need to get rid of Memory Meter, because it contains spyware. Also, I want to make sure you know the difference between deleting and uninstalling. You need to uninstall and not delete. Uninstalling totally gets rid of the program. Deleting gets rid of the icons and things, but it is still in your registry. To uninstall, go to start-----> Settings-----> Control Panel-----> Add/Remove Programs. Good Luck, ~winipcfg

I went to Add/Remove and got rid of Memory Meter (while of course rereading what you said and was confused as to quicken because you mentioned that it was a Money Program and since I don't do anything to do with "money" on the computer (don't have all the things I beleive that is for like stocks and bonds and all that good stuff)---do I NEED it? I'm pretty new to all this so please forgive my seeming stupidity. After I reread your reply another 6 times it will sink in and I will remove everything you said to that isn't included in the exceptions that you mentioned. Thanks.

Hi, Sorry it took so long to reply. You don't need quicken. If you don't need it, just uninstall it and be done with it. If any more ?'s just post back or email me. Good Luck, ~winipcfg
