Ben: Try this: Go to Start; Run; type in the words Sysedit; then OK. Now select tab Sys.ini and scroll down to the title VCache. Below it type these lines: MinFileCache=1024 Next line: MaxFileCache=8192; then click on File; then Save. Close Sysedit and re-boot. Now check your setting.

Is this physical ram or virtual ram? When it is cached it is usually virtual ram (which in fact isn't ram at all. It is harddisk space dedicated to cache "swapfile"). wcr3d
