Hi, when my computer finishes booting up instead of just showing the desktop the C:\ folder is open on the desktop. Can anyone tell me how to stop this? Apart from this the PC seems to be working OK. The folder that opens at startup is the same as you get if you double click "my computer" then double click the [C:] icon. Cheers.......Steve.

Bob, thanks for resonding. I looked there and found only this:
"Try looking in Msconfig for an entry to the C:\ folder." "Start/Run and type in msconfig then OK it. Click on the "Startup" tab and look in the list, uncheck the box if found, OK out and re-start the PC."
I have already looked in startup tab in msconfig. but can't see anything that looks like it might be causing the problem.
I have tried opening msconfig and doing "selective start up" with everything except system tray UN-ticked in the start up tab.
Still get the window opening at boot up :-(( Steve
