Comment:

Is it possible to temporarily switch to a standard modem dialup internet connection when broadband is cutting off.
If it is how do I set this up, bearing in mind at the moment the line is connected via the Tiscali broadband box.

Thanks
Dennis

It would be better to find out why your broadband is cutting out.

Do you have the sagem fast 800 ?

You would need a dial up ISP, which you probably don't have anymore. The setup is possible.

You should have been given details of the Tiscali dial-up service when you signed up for broadband. Set up a new connection to use the dial-up modem, with it connected to the telephone socket on the DSL filter. If you haven't got Tiscali details, I suggest a "pay-as-you-go" account on IC24 or Freeserve to get signed up quickly. I'm pretty sure that both set up your connection during the sign-up process. You might not be able to send Tiscali email on those accounts.

You should obviously chase up your broadband problem, I'd first suggest getting BT to check your line - explain you're getting broadband disconnection.
