bootstrap error when installing msn

I have windows 98se, i got the message bootstrap error when i try to install the new version on msn messenger, im running now ver. 7.0, does any one have a solution?

thank you Bakers, i solve the problem, i have on another computer other version of msn messenger which works normaly, i overwrite the folder of the messenger and it worked normaly. thanks for your help.
