I have a primary drive with dual boot win98
and NT. It works fine without any trouble.

When I add my old drive (with win95) as slave
drive and try to boot with win98, it fails. But NT boots with no trouble.

Is there any workaround or am I doing something wrong here?

Thanks,
Troy

I am just making a guedss but could it be that Win 95 uses FAT16 and Win 98 Uses FAT32. Win NT also uses FAT 16 so that might explain why they work together.

Hope that helps but like I said I'm guessing.

The dual boot win98 and NT shares FAT16 on
my master drive.

The slave is fat32 with win95 installation.
I want my slave to be just another logical
drive to be accessible by win98.

But when I try to boot win98 from dual boot
installation with dual drive, it fails. NT
boots with this configuraion without any trouble.

I'm wondering whether win95 installation
in slave drive is causing any problem for
win98 to boot. Any comments or solution will
be very helpful.

However did you get dual booting to work on aa primary drive for 98 and NT? I have two partitions on mine, NT works but Win98 just hangs. I tried the NT boot menu and I don't get very far at all. The closest I got was using "multi(1)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows"" in my boot.ini If I change active partition with fdisk, I can boot 98 as far as the splash screen, then it hangs. If anyone can help, thanks..
