Boot with a 98 disk?

Hi. I have a problem.I need to format a old 486 laptop,and im planning to use interlnk to move files onto it for windows instalation.first,do i need to install Dos 6.22? or will i be able to use interlnk.exe from the flobby i boot with? second,if i boot with a 98 SE startup disk,can i get fat32 conflict? im installing 95 on this one,but i use a win 98 boot,for cd suport.

You shouldn't have any problems using the win98 boot disk if you are installing win95 with it.

You can transfer files with a various number of programes, but with an old 486, you may just want to transfer those file to another computer, and then add them back later if you have the way to do it. You can use a Windows 98 boot disk to do the job. Funny, but microsoft figured that we didn't need the generic drivers for our CDroms...buttholes.. That was corrected with the 98 boot disk. Good luck. By the way, there should be no probs with the fat system.
