Boot up freezes at Logo Screen

I have an IBM Aptiva 2158-530 it is 5 years. I had no problems with it until recently when it stop playing CD whether audio or data. Now when i turn it on it only comes to the IBM APTIVA Logo page and it does not boot up any further. I try to get to safe mode but to no available. I notice when it boot up it does not boot the 'A' drive only the cd and hard drive. I cannot use the recovery CD or the start up disk. I remove the cables from the drives and put them back still freezing at the logo screen.

I don't know if you're familiar with the bios/cmos set up, but if you are I'd take a look in there, see what devices are recognized. See what the boot sequence is. To access the CMOS, hit delete or F1 (there are others)repeatedly from the moment you turn on your PC. It will beep, that's ok. The fact that you lost your CDROM, and now it won't boot makes me wonder about the motherboard.

raincheck I already tried to get to the bios/cmos utility but nothing it just stay at the logo screen, I even disconnect a cable off the motherboard with hope it would lead me to bios or safe mode, it did not it only boot to the logo screen flash about two times and freeze.
