Ok the system is a TX PRO II motherboard chipset running a Cyrix II 300 with 32 mb of RAM and yes I know this is ancient. The problem is after installing Windows 98 on the machine it will refuse to boot anything from a floppy boot disk or even boot Win 98 from the hard disk. If you set BIOS to look from the Win98 CD it will run that but thats it! Now I have also tried installing Win98 on the same hard disk on a different machine and transferring it across but still no luck. Somtime it will show the Win98 screen on half of the monitor and then will freeze or reboot. Oh yeah and if you try to use the authentic Win98 bootdisk that will reboot the PC endlessly also. I have tried numerous hard drives, checked and tried many different IDE cables and am absolutely stumped. Any help would be awesome!
