Has the A: drive been working before this? Are you certain the A: drive is first in the BIOS boot sequence?

Hi rob, hi everyone

"...ive donwloaded the bootdisk imagies and made sure i was using a good floppy..."
Have you also made sure to download the bootdisk image to your hard drive or desktop and from there extracting the contents of the, usually zipped file, to the floppy?

"...i can boot it up with the 98 cd but then i cant format or anything..."
You'll first need to change to the Win98 folder/directory by at the DOS-prompt typing in:
E:[Enter]key, assuming E: is your CD-ROM drive.
cd\win98[Enter]key
format C:[Enter]key, assuming it's your C: drive you want to format.
cd\[Enter]key, to bring you back to the root folder/directory of your CD-ROM.

"...i cant get past scan disk cause i have errors that cant be fixed..."
Try at the DOS-prompt:
setup /is[Enter]key, that would ignore the scandisk part of the setup.

Do so only if you are sure your master hard drive is error free.

Hope this helps.

Greetz from The Netherlands,
The Count

Remove the slave drive until Windows is installed.
