my computer at home is saying disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter what do i do

I must be a Wrong boot sequence set up, So I think you must try to set up the boot sequence properly if you tampered the set up on Bios.

Have you checked to see if there is a non-system disk in the flopppy floppy drive - and removed it - presuming there is floppy drive and there is/was a disk therein?

A boot disk is a system disk and is one that has system/boot-info on it. A floppy disk that does not have system/boot-files on it will cause the computer to produce that error message at boot -time - if the floppy is set as first boot-device.
