Comment:
ok here is the problem, i still got the same message that said Boot Failure Insert BOOT diskette in A: Press any key when ready that is like that every time went to restart my computer, this started happen in October 2005 and it is still not working. I haven't been using my computer since then. so right now i am using a different one for now. But I still want my own computer to be fix.
So i was wondering if there is a way that can help to go into safe mode that i can copy it on my floppy disk from bootdisk.com? if so which one would be good for my computer or that can fix my computer from that site that would be good for my computer? (i can't even get into safe mode at all and I can't see my desktop) and i only can see is black screen with the message on it but i can still get in CMOS/BIOS Setup that is it.

Check the cables (both ends of them) connecting the hard disk drive. They could have been bumped loose.Check the 4 pin plug-in for power to your hard drive.
You also could have a bad ide cable.

Is the hdd detected in the bios ?
You can use any win comp and go to www.bootdisk.com and download the program to make a bootable floppy. DO get the same version of 98 ie:FE or SE. Remember the file you download is a program, do not copy it to the floppy.

You might also want to replace the CMOS battery while you're at it. If it's dead, then you're likely losing the HDD settings (which is why it can't find a bootable device...)

Zach, you really should have started your own thread. Fortunately this is simple. Remove the bootdisk from the floppy drive and reboot.

I suppose it's to reinforce that we're interested in the outcome. We get wrapped up in these problems too and want to know how they get fixed.
