Blue screen error messages are run and governed by Internet Explorer and what operating system you use, I am an engineer and repair computers for my living, and have done so since I left school, (21 Years Ago).

If you are running any of the two types of Windows 98 systems, (Windows 98 & Windows 98 SE), Internet Explorer 5.0 will cause compatability problems with some drivers that are built into windows, there are gliches which microsoft didn't chech when IE5.0 was released, this is why IE5.0 was re-examined so to speak and re-named as IE5.5.

Having repaired many computers with this problem in the past, Installing IE5.5 I am pleased to say rectified the fault, and although I only had small minor problems after this, I did cure the underlying problem long term.

Hope this helps...Good Luck & Happy Computing.
