Can anyone throw any light on why my recording panel is blank under Windows 98? I have installed the latest drivers for my AWE 64 value and fiddled with settings until I am blue in the face. The mic works coz sound comes from the speakers but I cant record anything. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the very same problem when I bought a new motherboard with a built in sound card. I
finaly had to buy a seperate sound card and install the drivers and it worked.
