Ok, ok, ok I have replaced the CPU fan with a brand new that is more than what that CPU needs. I have reseated the processor, and reseated the memory, yet when I am on AOL or playing Freecell, the computer will just go to a black screen with a grey flat cursor on the left upper corner of the screen and I have to use the reset button becasue CTRL ALT DEL will not restart it. Also I am getting in an error in AOL that says, AOL has encouter a problem that may be due to low HD space or low memory, I know it isn't HD space because the hard drive has hardly nothing on it. Then when I finanly got on AOL, I went to ESPN.com and the computer locked up and even CTRL ALT DEL wouldn't restart it, I am at my witt's end with this thing. Some one told me to replace the CPU fan, so that is what I did yet it did it again, any ideas?

Is the computer stable when not on the internet?

the 3 fingered solute (Ctrl Alt Del) doesn't work when the computer is too busy to service an input request or is locked up.

In this case it can be caused by virtual memory sizes. specifically, the paging file, (swap file) control panel / system / device manager / advanced / performance. I have mine set to 1 1/2 times my RAM. or maybe in IE, tools / internet options / general / temporary internet files, settings, increase the size of the temporary internet files folder. mine is set to 20MB but it was set to 2MB and I didn't have problems.

By the way, this makes the second RAM chip I have put in this PC, do you think it could be a bad DIMM slot? Just bringing up ideas for you to ponder.
