I need an update for an older Award Bios. I'm using an ASUS P5A ACPI Bios revision 1007.A and need to upgrade it so it will detect a new Maxtor 40 GB hard drive. Any advice on where I can get an upgrade?
GO to Maxtor's site and grab MaxBlast Plus drive install utility and any other info or manuals, spec sheets, etc. Maxblast can put on a bios overlay to bypass the bios limitation issue. IT's also the nicest way to partition, format, and set up your new drive.
