i am using bios PCI/ISA BIOS 2A61GSME VERSION V4.51PG, i want to upgrade it. pease help. i am getting trouble in getting the pc startted after i upgraded to 40 gb, at the time of booting verifying DMI data pool is just hangs please help

Make sure the hard drive is fdisked, formatted, and jumpered corrected. Go into the BIOS by pressing the delete key at first boot and use the hard drive utility to detect the HDD parameters. Enable "reset hardware profile" and you should be fine.
