i have had major problems recently that resulted in a flash of the bios and ever since my computer only seems to recognise 32 meg of ram although there is 96 meg installed.
i am quite sure that it is picking up on the video card memory and not the sdram that it should.
i have tweaked around in the bios settings but cant get it to recognise the 96 meg of ram installed, no matter what i try to do
can you help me out please
TIA

BIOS updates as you probably know are very important that you use the correct update! MAKE SURE if you try to REFLASH it that you have correct one, try resetting BIOS to original or default settings to get started.... also try pulling all the RAM out but 1, see if it recognizes it, try another in SAME slot & see if its ok, etc... & if its an older system that uses parity only you have to put them in order of pairs.. 32mb, 32mb, 16mb, 16mb. 1234. MAKE SURE they are seated tight! BE CAREFUL to not push TOO hard or you could crack the MB! you dont want to do that. Hope this helps Speedy

the memory was fine before the bios upgrade
and im 99.9% certain that it is the correct bios upgradehowever i seem to remember that i had a very similar problem when i first installed the graphics card but alas i cannot remember how i sorted it last time
TIA

after i increased ram from 256mb to 384mb disk activity increased and even to import a file of 20mb it is taking several hrs
my system P3 800 EB /GIGABYTE GA6BX7 MB/384MB RAM/ RIVA TNT 64 VGA/ 40GB HD
PLEASE HELP MERAJ
