Bios detects harddrive but windows

CPU/Ram: 667/256

One of my hard drives recently died. I have a old 1.4 gig drive running bassicly just windows and a 20 gig for storage.Anyway during the boot up bios detects both hard drives but when im in windows it only shows the master in my computer. what could be casuing this?

How are the drives configured ?
Both on the Primary IDE as master and slave ? or is one on the Secondary IDE ?
Is your CDROM showing up in Windows ?

along with the above have you right before this problem,
added any hardware?
added any software?
made any configuration changes?

Problem fixed. It just needed a partition
