System will work fine, but NO sound. Through programs, has an exclamation mark stating Port Communication Error - when I click on it it reads BIOS not found for system? Would this have something to do w/sound? Any suggestions?

Each audio/sound card (or on-board) has a control chip which generates the bios for that particular device. I would make sure you have the current drivers by referencing the manufactures web site. In the case of on board audio go to your computer manufacturer for current drivers.
