I am trying to update my old Mobo(08/19/97-ALi-154x-2A5KIB09C-00) with award bios . I found the right Bios but I can't find what command to type at a:> . I search all over the web and for the command. any help is appreciated.

There should be a readme or similar text or help file explaining the proceedure to use. If not , then best you hunt up more info before blowing the upgrade and making your 'puter into an anchor.

If that's a Biostar motherboard with an Award BIOS, you may need to download not only the new bios but also another program named awardflash.exe.

Be aware, like Tunkerborg says, it is very dangerous! Read the instructions several times and make SURE that you know what you're doing.
Summary: If you fidsked you may have deleted the hidden partition where some of the BIOS commands are stored. This is the case with some HP I believe. If you only format c: then I don't know. ...
