Can you be a bit more specific than "a bunch of beeps"? And who makes the BIOS chipset in the PC? (Different BIOS have different beep codes) I suspect you may have a memory problem, but knowing what the beep code is would help to narrrow it down.

The 'Abbot & Castello routine' used in the System Specifications, make things really difficult to comprehend:-( I was wondering why you had to 'take out' the "old hd with Windows95", "place it in another computer" and then perform a " clean format" instead of formatting it while still connected to its original computer!
To properlyinterpret the significance of the BIOS Beeps on boot up the following data are required:
1. Make and Model of the Motherboard and the BIOS used
2. What pieces of hardware are already connected to that Motherboard.
3. What is the exact cadence of the Beeps heard.
