Batch Script and Windows 98

CPU/Ram: Intel Pentium 256k

I am having trouble getting the MSDOS prompt window to close after executing some batch script. It states that the script has terminated but that you must click on the "x" to close the window. Is there something special that I must do to get this window to close, it closes in Windows2000 by ending with "EXIT".

If you right-click on your batch file in Explorer, and select Properties, Program tab, you'll find an unchecked "Close on exit" box. Check it.
