Barcode Scanning Software

I'm looking for a software that would scan barcodes/product into the database and then place that type/product into a location or bin location. That part can later be scan and will find out what bin location it belongs in etc... Its a manufacturing process that would help us organize and eliminate the hassle of looking up partnumbers in our current database.

Chewy that is a hard one, I suggest you do a google search and see if you can find one piece of software that will work for your needs. www.google.com search: barcode database software.

Many companies do this commercially. Teklogic and Symbol Technologies are two. There software is very proprietary. A frequent contributor to these forums, Rocky Carrera, knows more about this than most people. Perhaps he will pick up on this string.
