Comment:

Too often, 5-6 times per session, I get kicked out from reputable web sites such as Microsoft and others: cursor freezes for 5-6 seconds, then I get a black screen, then a re-start with blue screen with complete disc scan. Very annoying.

I upgraded to Explorer 6 hoping this would solve the problem, to no avail.
Have up-dated Anti-Virus, did a scan, no problems reported.
Clear on daily basis Temporary files and cookies and history. Do file checker often.

Pentium III, 128 Ram, 14 GB HD, Norton Firewall, 83% free space.

Any solution?
Thanks

You are not being "kicked" off a website,
The problem will be within your PC.

GoTo Start/Programs/Accessories/System tools
Select Scandisk
In the dialog box that appears select options
for "Thorough" and "automatically repair"

Also....
It is all the signs of a conflict.
so after performing a full scandisk
when next online, try disabling some options in the system tray just RIGHT click on the icons beside the clock and if an option to either exit/close/pause then select it BUT DON'T DISABLE anti-virus software, if it works then it was one of those that were causing conflict (maybe another web utility such as messenger or ICQ etc)
Still got the problem?
Ensure you're not running too many applications -hold keys Alt+Tab, close running apps.
Not sure what maybe also running?- Hold
down keys Ctrl+Alt+Del and "End Task"
on one or two Obvious programs.
Then try surfing/downloading
