When i run my spybot search & destroy program, i get a lot of backweb lite in the registry. since they are in red, its advising me to delete them. What is backweb lite? As for backweb, do i really need this? can i uninstall it?

i just uninstalled it, the other day, it was in the add/remove program list in control panel.start-settings-control panel-add/remove programs-highlight backweb and click the remove button. after restarting run spybot again, and most if not all of it should be gone. the version i had was for watching music videos, but it also can display adds, and start alot of popups.

Delete them. If you experience any problems as a result of removing it you can always restore it from the backup that spybot makes

I used find to locate the backweb file, i noticed a help file so i read it. It more or less states backweb is used to run the active desktop etc. Im thinking if i uninstall backweb that some things wont run properly. I guess ill have to experiment and find out.

Backweb Lite is spyware. One source is Logitech mouseware and keyboard software. You do not need it for your devices/OS to operate.Find and remove it with Spybot. Ray
