I know that if somethin' happens to
my hard drive I'm done !!!Is there any way to make a backup of a specific program ?? I' was at first thinking
of using norton ghost for making an image... but there is just 150 mb remaining space on the drive... I have an other computer (newest) where the program is not inside... but he have a cdburner inside... So maybe there is a way to transfer data by serial port to my newest computer for making a backup cd...What do you suggest ??
Plz Help me !!!

I was just now looking at the cost of the Mitchell software programs and I can see why you don't want to risk loosing them. If I were you, considering the cost of replacing the software, I would seek the advice of a local professional on this one.

I doubt it very much. Files have probably been installed in C:\Windows\System and entries made in the Registry. It is not simply a matter of copying the contents of the program`s folder.

You can network your laptop with another computer either using network cards and a crossover cable or network cards and a hub or router. Once on network, you can map a network drive on the other computer and Ghost an image to this drive across the network connection.

Unless you have the installation disk for the program it is very difficult (if not impossible) to back it up. Like Peter said (in post #2), it's not just a matter of copying the folder. However, there are some programs (not free) that claim to be able to do it.
