What is , in your opinion, the best backup software for win98se? I run ghost, but that only takes an image of my hd after i installed the core stuff, incase I need to format.
What is a good program to back up files (email settings, saved games from pc games, misc files I dont want to loose) and then copy them to a cdrw (and repeat this process once a week to keep it current)

If you have a CD burner and the Adaptec Software package, Direct CD allows you to format a CDRW disk and treat it like a floppy or zip drive. Things can be dragged and dropped, deleted and such without running the CD burning software. I use it with my Quicken and Quick Books Pro. It's easy. The format takes about 45 minutes.

I also use Adaptec Easy CD Creator for small backups. It is quick and easy for a few files.
When I have a need for something larger, or more complex, I use Veritas Backup Exec. I Have used it for several years on tape, CDR, and Zip disks and it works easy and well.
Recently I have been putting it's backups on CDR because I have had a few tapes that won't read after 2-3 years. No such problems with the CDR's.
