I had spyware...removed it with norton's and adaware software...I had a pic on my background of my children. Noticed that the pic was gone, so I added it as my background again, only the pic is so huge it only has one of my children's face on it...went to control panel/display...there is no background tab...i see some people posted to go to Hkey and I have no idea what that means..please help...thanks.

Hi Joli You will need to edit the registry. 1. Run REGEDIT 2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Policies\System 3. Once at the above location, look on the right hand page for the value "NoDispBackgroundPage" (DWORD value) 4. You may see that the value is set as 1, so you will have to right click and modify the value to 0 5. If you so not see "NoDispBackgroundPage" then you will have to create it Right click the System key and choose to create a new DWORD value, then type NoDispBackgroundPage and then set the value as 0 Good luck! Hey guys I had the same problem. I have the background tab back but have some sort of 'Spoof' left on the desktop (background) that I cannot get rid of! Please help!
