Hi! I was having problems with my background tab missing from display. Some wonderful person posted and was able to help me restore that tab. However, I have a pic of my children that was on my background before the spyware came in and afterwards, the pic was gone. So, I've gone in and put the pic on as my background again, however, it is so large, only one of my children's heads is on the screen. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can get it back to fitting on my screen? Thanks so much!

Use the 'stretch' option instead of centre.

it will snap it to fit your screen.

Thanks, but I don't have a stretch option, only tile and center and neither seem to work.

oh yeah sorry your on windows 98. In that case you'll have to shrink the picture you made using editing software. Is the photo a jpg or a bmp file? what resolution is your desktop set at? (go to control panel>>display>>settings).

You can try the excellent IrfanView - use it to open the pic, then under 'options' - 'set as wallpaper' and choose stretch (or whatever is appropriate)

Sure thing - it simplifies the whole wallpaper procedure.

Great application.
