Can anyone recommend a good free video file converter?
I specifically would like to convert from mpg to vob.

If you down load the trial version you can covert video from the file menu. Now I downloaded it a good while back so the thirty day trial may cut that out now but I am not sure. But mine after the thirty days still let me do it.
note: make sure you convert the file from up in the file menu and not as a project other wise you will have a upgrade message in the middle of the video.

as i know vob is the same as mpeg1, and there are a lot of free conventors, for example try to use Virtual Dub.
Summary: I am trying to download part of a movie to see if it is good and I wanted to know if .avi or .mpg had better quality, which one couldn't have a virus in it, etc. can any one help? ...
