hi, i take care of about 50 computers. each computer has two users:employee and administrator. i need to be able to auto load the employee account at start up. how can i achive this goal?

Can't say I'm too well versed in this but XP is pretty easy to set to come up with a specific account. Best I know about in W98SE is to arrange to have your own desktop, maybe email (but not much else).
Kinda tricky to automate I would think. Let's see if anyone else has some bright ideas.

You could install TweakUI on the XP machines and set to auto logon with user name and password. There really isn't an administrator function in Win98 but the same procedure would work.

Create a new string value called AutoAdminLogon and set the value to 1
Create a new string value called DefaultPassword and set the value to the password
Create a new string value called DefaultUserName and set the value to the username
That's it.

the regisrty edit did not work i tried yours about 6 times with each user. maybe there is another? or ther was a typo?

No typo on my part. Your question "will that auto load the admin or the employee account?" It will autoload whichever userid you enter as the value for that entry.
