Comment:

At boot up I see lines like: REM- By windows 98 network for netware upgrade c:\lsl.com AND REM- By win98 network for netware upgrade.... "file name". These appear in autoexec.bat tabs in msconfig too. I know it is OK and not causing a problem since they have been REMed out but I would like to know if there is a way to get rid of those from showing?

You want to make the above command ~the first line~, not add it to the first line.
