I am having a problem with my autoexec.bat file. I had one of my games place a line in the autoexec.bat file which told me there was an error in the file and to recopy it.
So, I went in to the autoexec.bat file and removed the line plus two other lines at the bottom. My mistake, because I lost the backup to the file.
When I turn on the computer it starts to load Windows and them gives me a syntax error and tells me that I am "currently running in DOS Mode, do you want to return to normal mode, to run windows applications". When I enter Yes it restarts the loop and repeats the problem. No, gives me C: .
The last line in the file say SET C:\WINDOWS. I am missing a few other short commands. I feel the problem is minor but cannot figure out what command to put in to complete the Windows load up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You could try getting a default Autoexec.bat of a friend, and that would load with minimal drivers, of course you'd have to put in all your autoexec. bat entries again.
If you write to me at Gilbert_ben@hotmail.com. I might be able to give you a default oneBen
