audio driver problem i think

i get an error after i try to install my sound driver it says msgsrv32 caused a general protection fault in module sndsys.drv after i restart my computer.i have a k7sem mainboard with integrated ac97 audio codec. the driver i tried to install was on the cd rom that came with the motherboard it was called sis PCI audio accelerator. i dont know the first thing about whats wrong any help would be appreciated greatly thank u.

well, it could be a lot of things really, but you could start with making sure you've got directx 8 (or 8.1) installed, and maybe download the latest audio drivers.

Uninstall the ones you've installed first though if they installed that is.
Else, could be anything from a virus to antivirus software.
