hi,i have a pic in my folder which i want to send to a car forum,the pic is 86869 bytes 367x276 pixels.but the forum only allows 50,000 bytes,i have tried to re-size it but it goes so small i cant see what it is.tried to send just the url site said they only accept gif,jpg,jpeg.but my pic isjpg.what am i doing wrong?.new to computers. hope someone can explain in simple terms please. noterom.

You may be able to save it smaller by increasing the compression.

Resize to 211x158 (reduce to 57%) to get it just under 50kb.

Sure - most graphics editors will allow you to set the JPEG compression ratio (IrfanView does) - as well, reducing the number of colours will also reduce the file size.
Of course, it's a tradeoff, reducing things decreases clarity
